Baseball Betting

We take Action on all MLB and College World Series events. Our Wagering Menu for Baseball Betting includes, but is not limited to, the following Wagers: Proposition wagers offered on selected events (Playoffs and World Series).

General Rules Events will not carry over to the following day (unless otherwise specified).

Moneyline Wagers
Gameday starts at a dime line (10 cent) on all side MLB moneyline wagers. Moneyline wagering is simply wagering on the contest based on a given price rather than a pointspread. The team wagered on only has to win the game to be a winner!.

Example
New York Yankees -155
Atlanta Braves +145

A player could choose one of two moneyline wagers on this matchup: Wagering on the Yankees -155. If the Yankees win then the player is laying $155.00 to win $100.00. Wagering on the Braves +145. If the Braves win then the player is wageering $100.00 wins $145.00. In the event there is a pitching change prior to the start of the game, all action wagers moneyline odds may be adjusted. If one scheduled pitcher starts against an unscheduled pitcher, "Action" wagers will be computed by the opening price with the new pitcher.

Total Wagers

On a Total Wager (over/under), you are wagering on the total runs of the game by both teams, extra innings included.

Example

New York Yankees over 8.5 (-125)
Atlanta Braves under 8.5 (+105)

A player could choose one of two over/under wagers on this matchup: Wagering on the Over 8 1/2 -125. If the total runs of both teams combined are more than 8 1/2, then the player laid $125.00 to win $100.00. Wagering on the Under 8 1/2 +105. If the total runs of both teams combined are less than 8 1/2, then the player who bet $100.00 wins $105.00.
Run Line Wagers

Run Line Wagering is simply wagering on the contest based on a point spread and a moneyline combined. The team on which the bet is placed, must win by the point spread.

Example
New York Yankees -1.5 (+130)
Atlanta Braves +1.5 (-150)

A player could choose one of two Run Line Wagers on this matchup. Wagering on the Yankees -1 1/2 +130. If the Yankees win by 2 runs or more, then the player who bet $100.00 wins $130.00. Wagering on the Braves +1 1/2 -150. If the Braves win the game or lose by only one run, then the player laid $150.00 to win $100.00.

1st 5-Inning Line

The 1st 5 innings line will be considered official and be graded as soon as both teams have finished batting in the 5th inning. Listed pitchers must start for action.

Home Run Line

The Home Run Line has the same rules as run lines and totals.

Either Team Score in 1st

Either Team Score in 1st? Will be graded YES when a team scores in the 1st and NO when both teams have batted in the 1st without scoring. Bets on NO have action after a complete inning. All bets are action and bets and prices stand as written. Bets will be considered official when graded despite what may or may not happen after 1st inning (i.e. a rained out game after one inning.)

Baseball Props

Props involving "firsts" such as will a pitcher 1st pitch be a strike or ball or will a batter reach base his 1st time up will be considered official and be graded as they happen. All other props have same rules as run lines and totals.

Overnight Lines

Gameday is proud to be one of the few Sportsbooks to offer Overnight Lines. These are wagering lines on the following day's matchups, which will be posted within one hour of the start of final game of the day. There is a limit of $250 on these lines, which will be lifted at 10:30 AM EST the following morning.

Basketball Betting

For betting purposes, unless otherwise stipulated, NCAA contests are official after 35 minutes of play.
Teams must play for there to be action, all wagers included, all leagues included.

Pointspread & Over/Under Wagers

Gameday is proud to offer Pointspread and Over/Under betting, both online and over the telephone. On a pointspread wager, the team wagered must win by the pointspread. On an over/under wager, the total points of the contest by both teams, overtime included, must fall over or under the side selected.

Example

The posted line is the L.A. Lakers -10 at Portland Trailblazers +10 and the over/under total is 189.

The odds are $1.10 to win $1.00 (-110) unless otherwise indicated.

For the player who wagers on the Lakers -10, they must win by more than 10 points for this to be a winning wager. For the player who wagers on Portland +10, they must either win the game, or lose by less than 10 points for this to be a winning wager. If the outcome falls on the number, either way, the bet is declared a "Push", and the original stake is refunded.

For the player who wagers on the total points of this contest by both teams to be "Over" 189, the combined final score of both teams must exceed 189. For the player who wagers on the total points of this contest by both teams to be "Under" 189, the combined final score of both teams must be less than 189. If the outcome falls on the number, the bet is declared a "Push", and the original stake is refunded.
Pointspread and Over/Under lines will be offered on all NBA, WNBA and NCAA contests.
All wagers on the side & total will include all overtime scoring.

Halftime Wagers

Gameday is proud to offer Halftime Wagering, both online and over the telephone. Halftime wagering is simply a wager only on the score of the first, or second half of a contest. The line offered will be a pointspread, a moneyline, or a combination of the two, but the wager applies only to the score of the halftime period specified. Quarter Wagers

Gameday is proud to offer wagering on individual quarters of selected contests, both online and over the telephone. Wagering on quarters is simply a wager only on the score of the first, second, third or fourth quarter of a contest. These lines will be offered on marquee events, such as playoff and championship games. The line offered will be a pointspread, a moneyline, or a combination of the two, but the wager applies only to the score of the quarter specified. Moneyline Wagers

Gameday is proud to offer moneyline wagering on Basketball, both online and over the telephone. Moneyline Wagering is simply wagering on the contest based on a given price rather than a pointspread. The team wagered on just has to win the game.

Example

A player could choose one of two wagers on the following matchup: L.A. Lakers -200 at Portland Trailblazers +180. If the Lakers win, the player laid $200.00 to win $100.00. If Portland wins, the player who bet $100.00 wins $180.00. Point Buying

Gameday is proud to offer Point Buys. This is a method of allowing the bettor to improve the pointspread of a basketball contest by actually "buying points" for the team he/she wants to wager, side or total. Bettors can buy points in 1/2 point increments up to 3 points, depending on the contest. Each 1/2 point costs the bettor an additional 10% vigorish.

Example

The L.A. Lakers are playing the Portland Trailblazers, and the line on the game is the Lakers -10, with a total of 189. If a $100 wager is placed on the Lakers -10 with a 1/2 point buy, the player has a wager on the Lakers -9 1/2 points, and must put up $120 to win $100, instead of the usual $110 to win $100. If the player, for example, requests a full 1 point buy to move the pointspread down to -9, he/she would have to put up $130 to win $100.

Conversely, the bettor may also buy points on the Trailblazers side, and get the line at plus 10 1/2 or 11 points, with the same increase in vigorish.

Bettors may also buy points for basketball totals. In this particular game, bettors could buy an "over" wager with a maximum line move down to 188, or an "under" wager with a maximum line move up to 190.

Proposition Wagers

Gameday offers a wide variety of proposition wagers. Because these wagers deserve special explanation, we have dedicated an entire section for this. Please click the link at the top of this window labeled "Props" for complete details.

Example

A player could choose one of two wagers on the following matchup: Holyfield -340 Vs. Lewis +260. If Holyfield wins then the player laid $340.00 to win $100.00. If Lewis wins then the player who bet $100.00 wins $260.00.

Example

The posted line is San Francisco -5 at St. Louis +5 and the over/under total is 41.

The odds are $1.10 to win $1.00 (-110) unless otherwise indicated.

For the player who wagers on San Francisco -5, they must win by more than 5 points for this to be a winning wager. For the player who wagers on St. Louis +5, they must either win the game, or lose by less than 5 points for this to be a winning wager.

These lines will be offered on marquee events, such as Monday Night Football, Sunday night games, and Bowl games. The line offered will be a pointspread, a moneyline, or a combination of the two, but the wager applies only to the score of the quarter specified. Moneyline Wagers

Gameday is proud to offer moneyline wagering on American Football, both online and over the telephone. Moneyline Wagering is simply wagering on the contest based on a given price rather than a pointspread. The team wagered on just has to win the game.

Example

A player could choose one of two wagers on the following matchup: San Francisco -200 at St. Louis +180. If San Francisco wins then the player laid $200.00 to win $100.00. If St. Louis wins then the player who bet $100.00 wins $180.00. Point Buying

Gameday is proud to offer Point Buys. This is a method of allowing the bettor to improve the pointspread of a football contest by actually "buying points" for the team he/she wants to wager, side or total. Bettors can buy points in 1/2 point increments up to 3 points, depending on the contest. Each 1/2 point costs the bettor an additional 10% vigorish.

Example

The Denver Broncos are playing the Kansas City Chiefs, and the line on the game is the Broncos -6 1/2, with a total of 42. If a $100 wager is placed on the Broncos -6 1/2 with a 1/2 point buy, the player has a wager on the Broncos -6 points, and must put up $120 to win $100, instead of the usual $110 to win $100. If the player, for example, requests a full 1 point buy to move the pointspread down to -5 1/2, he/she would have to put up $130 to win $100. Buying the pointspread down 1 1/2 points to 5 would cost $140 to win $100, and the full 3 point buy down to 3 1/2 would cost the bettor $170 to win $100.

Conversely, the bettor may also buy points on the Chiefs side, and get the line at plus 7, 7 1/2 or 8 points, all the way up to plus 9 1/2 points with the same increase in vigorish.

Bettors may also buy points for football totals. In this particular game, bettors could buy an "over" wager with a maximum line move down to 39, or an "under" wager with a maximum line move up to 45.

Proposition Wagers

Gameday offers a wide variety of proposition wagers. Because these wagers deserve special explanation, we have dedicated an entire section for this. Please click the link at the top of this window labeled "Props" for complete details.

Future Book Wagers

Gameday is proud to offer Future Book Wagers. A "futures" wager is a bet placed on an event that is scheduled to occur at some future date. For instance, prior to the beginning of the regular season for each major sport, odds will be established for each team to win their individual division, conference and seasonal championship. Another type of "future" wager that has become extremely popular is the over/under wager for the total number of victories for the entire season for a given team.

Other "future" wagering propositions that are offered at Gameday include major Horse Races, such as the three "Triple Crown" races, which are The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness, and The Belmont Stakes. Major golf tournaments such as The Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship and The British Open. Tennis Championships like the Wimbledon Tournament, The French, Australian, and U.S. Opens. Auto races like the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500. And last, but definitely not least, blockbuster events like the Super Bowl each year, or the Olympics every 4 years. Gameday offers "future" wagers on many more events as well. If you have a favorite event that you don't find odds on, please contact us directly, and we will make a line for you!

It is possible for a "future" bet to become a winner prior to the end of the regular season. However when the bet is conditional on a certain number of games being played, the wager must wait until those games have been played before the bet is graded.

Under 4 1/2 -125 - If the total goals of both teams combined are less than 4 1/2, then the player who laid $125.00 wins $100.00.

Horse Racing Rules
If Bets

An If Bet allows you to increase your betting power and limit your risk by placing multiple bets on one betting ticket; each individual bet after the first bet will only have action if the previous bet in the sequence is successful.

An If Bet is also useful if you want to make more than one bet, but do not have adequate funds in your account to cover the second bet unless the first bet wins. An If Bet will place the second bet immediately upon success of the first bet. If Bet rules are as follows:

Parlay Betting (also known as Multiples or Combos)

Gameday is proud to offer the most comprehensive Parlay selection available today. Parlays, also known as Multiples or Combos, are a very exciting way for the sports betting enthusiast to WIN VERY LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY WITH VERY LIMITED RISK!

Simply put, a parlay is a bet of 2 or more teams (selections) or propositions in no particular order. All teams wagered on in a parlay must win. If there is a tie, it reverts down to the next lowest number for payoff. For 2 team parlays, a tie and win becomes a straight bet payout.

At Gameday, you may include up to 12 Selections in your parlays, all sports included. This means that you can make one parlay card with a combination of all your favorite sports! These wagers can be placed very easily online or by telephone at Gameday.
Please Note: No parlay bets will be accepted where individual "selections" are connected. For example, one leg of a parlay is for Sampras to beat Henman in the 4th round of Wimbledon and the second or additional part of the parlay is for Sampras to win the overall Wimbledon title. The match forms part of the overall tournament and is therefore 'connected'. In the same way, you cannot parlay the over of the first half of a football game with the over of the total game, because the two are 'connected'

Baseball (moneyline) Parlay Payoffs

Because of the moneyline used in baseball, there are no set payoffs for tying a number of teams together in parlays. Payoffs are determined by a simple formula that changes the moneyline into a decimal number and combines it with the other lines in the parlay. The first step is to change the moneyline into a decimal value. Use the chart below for this purpose.

Values are equivalent to one dollar.

How to Figure Baseball Parlays

For each price or odds quote on your teams, look at their respective payoffs (to $1) and always add $1 to these payoffs.

Multiply your bet times the products of these payoffs (+$1) for your parlay return.

A Player bet $50 on the Cardinals (-150) parlayed to the Tigers (-130)

Please Note: All Baseball Side Parlays are "action."  Run Line & Total selections within your parlay will be voided should there be a pitching change. Round Robin Parlays

Gameday is proud to offer Round Robin parlays. A Round Robin is simply a nickname for parlay wagering on a group of selections (at least three or more) that are to be included in a combination of individual parlays. These wagers can be placed very easily at Gameday, online or by telephone.

For instance, if a player asked for a $100, three-team Round Robin with teams A, B, and C, he/she is simply requesting a two-team parlay with teams A and B, another parlay with teams A and C, and another with teams B and C, for a total of 3 individual parlays, each for $100. The total amount risked would be $300.

Round Robins get more complex as the number of teams increases. A four-team Round Robin "by twos" for $100 would mean that the bettor wants four teams to be included in a combination of two-team parlays. This would be a total of six individual two-team parlays, for a total risk of $600. If the request is for a Round Robin "by threes", it would include a total of four possible combinations, for a risk of $400.

Example

A player requests a $100 four team Round Robin "by twos", with teams A, B, C and D. The possible combinations would be as follows:

Teams AB $100 to win $260
Teams AC $100 to win $260
Teams AD $100 to win $260
Teams BC $100 to win $260
Teams BD $100 to win $260
Teams CD $100 to win $260

If all four teams win, the player wins $1240, while risking only $600! If one game loses, there is still a profit, even though three of the parlays would lose. The three winners get back $780, plus the $100 laid for each parlay, for a total of $1080. After subtracting $300 for the 3 losers, the player profits $480!

Just like in our standard parlays, selections from every league and sport can be included!

Please Note: The maximum payoff for any one parlay wager shall be $50,000, whatever the stake, or theoretical payout displayed elsewhere on the Gameday system.

Proposition Bets (Exotics)

Gameday offers a very large menu for Proposition and Exotic Wagering. Simply put, Proposition/Exotic Bets may generally be considered as any wager other than a straight "side" or "over/under" wager. More specifically, these wagers usually involve specific events and occurrences that happen throughout any given game. We have listed some examples for you below.

Props/Exotics will be offered on more marquee games on the betting menu. These include, but are not limited to, Sunday and Monday night NFL games, various NCAA Football games, major Bowl games, and many Playoff and Championship Basketball games. There are also many other miscellaneous events that Props and Exotics will be offered for. Examples and Definitions of Common Props/Exotics

Which team will be the first to score?

The team that scores first in the game (touchdown, field goal or other). This bet will be taken off the board for wagering 15 minutes before the scheduled kickoff time because the coin has been tossed and the team who will have the first possession of the ball is known.

Which team will be the last to score?

The team that scores last in the game (touchdown, field goal or other, overtime included).

Will either team score in the first X minutes and XX seconds of the game?
Will the first score of the game be a touchdown (overtime included)?
Will the last score of the first half be a field goal?

Teaser Bets

Gameday is proud to offer Teaser Bets. A Teaser, simply put, is a parlay like bet on 2 or more teams where the line on each team is adjusted in the favor of the bettor. Teasers are another very exciting way for the sports betting enthusiast to WIN VERY LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY WITH VERY LIMITED RISK!.

Like parlays, all teams wagered on in a teaser must win. The number of teams selected and the number of points selected determines the payout odds. If a selection in the teaser is a push, the teaser will drop to the next lower level, if a lower level is offered for that particular teaser. A push in a two team teaser without a loss will make the entire bet a push. When placing a wager a 3 team super teaser a push will result in a loss on the wager.

At Gameday, you may include up to 8 Selections in your teasers. Because Teasers are strictly pointspread type bets, they are allowed only with football and basketball wagering.
These wagers can be placed very easily online or by telephone at Gameday.
