NBA Playoffs - Dallas Mavericks vs Phoenix Suns:
April 13 2006
Two of the best teams in the Western Conference thrash it out tonight, as the Dallas Mavericks visit the Phoenix Suns at the US Airways Centre.
Phoenix are second in the Western Conf' playoff race, while Dallas are just 1 1/2 games behind the Spurs for top place in the Southwest Division - and top position in the West.
This is the fourth and final meeting in regular season between these two teams. The teams were one a piece in Dallas, while the latter beat the Suns in double-overtime at the beginning of November in Phoenix.
Overall, Dallas has won three straight after losing its last four at Phoenix.
The Suns will attempt to win their second straight game tonight, On Tuesday, the Suns took a 123-110 victory over Sacramento at the ARCO.
Shawn Marion did the damage with twenty-three well earned points and pulled down eight rebounds in the win, while Steve Nash netted a 'lucky' thirteen and dished out that number again in assists.
Tim Thomas also joined in the action to score, yep, thirteen.
The Suns have won five of their last six at home and are 29-10 at home overall. Meanwhile, the Mavericks had a five-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday against Golden State.
Nowitzki led all scorers with a cool twenty nine points in the setback at Oakland. Golden State ended a nine-game slide with that victory.
The Mavs are 2-4 in their last six road games and 26-14 as the guest this season.
