Football Gambling - Good or Bad?
The question that most football gamblers ask themselves at some point in their lives is: "Am I any good at this?" If they
don't ask themselves then they should - unless they are purely small stakes recreational bettors that don't particularly
mind if they win or lose.
The good news for football gamblers / bettors (well good and bad) is that it is quite hard to determine if you are profitable or not.
So just because you make a terrible start to the season, this does not mean you are bad at football betting, like wise just because you
start the football season 5-1, does not mean that you are a good one!
What you have to realise is that most of the time you will be 'down' in your betting - your total funds may increase
randomly but you are only likely to see big increases between 5 and 8 percent of the time...that's right it will 'look' as if you
are losing much more than it will look as if you are winning. Your funds will only be brought to new highs in 5-8 bets out of a 100 over
the long term.
The trick is not chase bets or try to make up the deficit with bigger football bets - keep an even keel - and don't
lose your head or go 'on tilt'. You have to remember that as the losing streaks will invevitably eat away at your fund
(not to menion your resilience) the winning streaks will bring you back.
If you think about it - across 100 bets you would reckon on winning 50 by just randomly choosing a team - now of course you
would be losing money on the points spreads market because you will be getting around -110 or -105 odds. But the fact is you
are going to win bets and hit streaks with no effort at all. The trick is to push yourself in to that bracket between 54 and 57 percent
to actually make money. So rather than winning 50 bets out of 100 randomly picking a team - you want hit 54 out 100 with a bit
of analysis...you are looking for 4 extra wins to start making some cash!
The other thing to realize is the sample factor - you really need to have made hundreds of bets to know for sure if you are going tor be profitable.
Good luck with your football gambling this season - and be strong.
